COLLINGROVE VINTAGE HILLCLIMB 2020 SAS SORTIE #5 – CANCELLED

Sunday October 4th 2020 The Sporting Car Club of SA Historic Hill Climb event organisers Jon Pyle and Chris Frost, have again invited the SAS & other BOCA Bristols to participate in a display hill climb run during the lunch break. Our Bristol owners are also invited to enter the competition element of this event. Our Bristols will be displayed in the Pits, we will have the SAS Gazebos & BBQ. This outing will also provide the venue for the October local BOCA SA Squadron Meeting. The plan for the Adelaide based event participants attending just on the Sunday is to:- • 8:00AM Meet in front of the Oakbank Hotel, then travel 61 Kms as a group via Woodside, Birdwood, Mt Pleasant, Springton and Eden Valley. • 9:00AM Arrive Collingrove Hill climb • Set up Bristol Car Display – Erect BOCA Gazebos – Submit CAMS Disclaimer Forms - Light BBQ. • 9:30 / 10:00 AM Breakfast/Brunch of Eggs & Bacon Sandwiches, Morning Tea & Coffee. • Spectate the competitive Hill Climb cars in action. • LUNCH TIME – Leisurely BRISTOL CARS DISPLAY ON TRACK (Exact time TBA) • 1:00PM (TBC) BOCA traditional sausage sizzle lunch (Feel free to bring something else for the BBQ if you prefer) • Spectate the competitive Hill Climb cars in action until 4pm. • Note: You are free to leave any time after lunch. Phone: 707 30004 Mobile: 0407725569 or email: peterforrester@tpg.com.au The Extended event will begin on Friday 2/10/2020 and will commence with a welcome dinner at Angaston’s Barossa Brauhaus on the Friday night and on Saturday 3/10/2020 competitors and guests will gather at the Collingrove track for morning tea prior to a lap of the track and a tour of the Barossa ending at the Mount McKenzie Hall for lunch. After lunch we will visit a car collection. Dinner on Saturday evening will be held at the Wanera Wine Bar in Angaston. Competition on Sunday4/10/2020 morning will commence from 9.30 a.m. and finish at around 4.00 p.m. with trophies presented soon after. The final dinner will be held at the SA Company Store, also in Angaston, on Sunday evening. This year the event will not only feature vintage cars, but also motor cycles and air cooled cars, such as Cooper JAP’s etc. There will be a special area available for a display of Vintage and Classic vehicles at the track on Sunday. An Accomodation package will be announced in the future.
