Tassie Spring Run – Friday 18 to Sunday 20 October
A few of us are getting together from 18 to 20 October. We have four local cars and seven people coming along. If anyone would like to join us, please contact Deb van Velzen
Here are the key bits about this little run:
Meet at Campbell Town (132 kilometres north of Hobart; 67 kilometres south of Launceston) for lunch at Cafe 100. Drive north and before Conara, turn right/east onto A4. Follow A4 then left onto A3 and head north to Scamander for an overnight stay with possible stops at Avoca and/or Fingal. Overnight in Scamander.
Meet in the bar for drinks and dinner at a nearby restaurant.
- In the morning, visit Rex, the car enthusiast's never-ending garage sale.
North - drive to St Helens, then north on B50 to Binalong Bay (beach walk and coffee/lunch option at Lichen Café).
South on A3 (stopping as you like) to Swansea for overnight stay. Lunch at places along the way - recommendations include Bicheno for Crayfish Shack or The Farm Shed.
Overnight in Swansea
Swansea dinner options include Saltshaker Restaurant, Swansea RSL, Bark Mill Tavern, Oyster Bay Restaurant, Artifakt Gallery & Café.
After breakfast on Sunday morning, we can convoy south to Triabunna. Gather cars together at 9.30am on Esplanade West, Triabunna.
Farewells and homeward bound.
Google says the total is 312 kilometres and 4 hours 11 minutes of driving.
