Join Team Bristol to defend our trophy against the other British car clubs
BOCA will be competing once again in the annual Pétanque Boule competition for the David Wischer Cup between the Alvis Car Club - Victoria, the Armstrong Siddeley Car Club of Victoria, the Daimler and Lanchester Owners Club of Victoria, the Jowett Car Club of Australia and the Veteran Car Club of Australia (Vic) at the Lynden Park Pétanque Club (Veteran Car Club of Australia), Lynden Park, Wakefields Grove (off Through Road) (Melway Ref: 60 F4) Camberwell facilities. There is plenty of off-street parking available in Wakefields Grove.
Arrive at 11.30am for socialising prior to lunch from 12.00-1.00pm. As usual, it will be a BYO lunch and BYO alcohol is allowed (sign-in required on entering the club rooms). Gas barbecue facilities, tables and chairs, plus hot water for tea/coffee are provided by the venue. If the weather is inclement, the clubrooms will keep us dry. The event is expected to complete by 4.00pm.
The friendly pétanque competition commences at 1.00pm and is expected to conclude by 3.00pm, followed by the presentation of the David Wischer Trophy. BOCA has one Pétanque set available but bring one along if you have one.
A gold coin donation is requested to cover the cost of the barbecue gas, power and cleaning and tidying afterwards.
