The Maling Road Traders Association in conjunction with the Italian Auto Icons, Vespa Club of Victoria, and a number of classic automotive car clubs will be conducting the annual Maling Road classic car & scooter event from 10.00am to 3.00pm, on Sunday, 20 August 2016. Mailing Road is ideal for such an event, with the cars located on the street in a village atmosphere, surrounded by period buildings. The ‘Bump-In” for all cars will commence from 8:30am, with vehicles being in place by 10:30am and bump-out at 3:00pm.
The inaugural event held in 2016 attracted in excess of 10,000 people from across Melbourne with some 100+ cars officially on display. The event became so popular that an estimated additional 100+ rare vintage and modern sports cars and motorbikes also filled up the adjoining car parks, demonstrating its broad appeal with the public, leveraging the favorable elements of the Maling Road precinct in terms of history and village atmosphere.
