DESCRIPTION:The Bend will play host to a collection of the best British cars\, motorcycles and working vehicles\, across a themed and multidisciplinary celebration of the finest automotive brands and vehicles\, both past and present\, that Britain has to offer! \n\n\n\nShow and Shine held on our expansive motor racing circuit paddock and lawns\, the show and shine display is open to all British made and branded cars\, motorcycles and working vehicles. All entries will be grouped via era\, make and club (club displays are welcome and encouraged). \n\n\n\nTo join us in the BOCA display area of the Show and Shine at The Bend Motorsport Park please follow this link to their website https://thebend.rezdy.com/422747/shannons-british-at-the-bend-show-and-shine and complete the form (cost: $20/vehicle including passengers).  Please remember to include that you are with the Bristol Owners Club of Australia (BOCA) on the form.  We will be allocated a separate Club area to display our vehicles within the Motorsport Park.  \n\n\n\nCruise Laps Open to all cars and motorcycles\, multiple sessions will take place throughout the day at controlled speeds on The Bend’s 7.77km GT circuit. \n\n\n\nMotorkhana A true test of skill and agility - exactly what British sports cars are known for. DESCRIPTION:Sunday October 4th 2020 The Sporting Car Club of SA Historic Hill Climb event organisers Jon Pyle and Chris Frost\, have again invited the SAS & other BOCA Bristols to participate in a display hill climb run during the lunch break. Our Bristol owners are also invited to enter the competition element of this event. Our Bristols will be displayed in the Pits\, we will have the SAS Gazebos & BBQ. This outing will also provide the venue for the October local BOCA SA Squadron Meeting. The plan for the Adelaide based event participants attending just on the Sunday is to:- • 8:00AM Meet in front of the Oakbank Hotel\, then travel 61 Kms as a group via Woodside\, Birdwood\, Mt Pleasant\, Springton and Eden Valley. • 9:00AM Arrive Collingrove Hill climb • Set up Bristol Car Display – Erect BOCA Gazebos – Submit CAMS Disclaimer Forms - Light BBQ. • 9:30 / 10:00 AM Breakfast/Brunch of Eggs & Bacon Sandwiches\, Morning Tea & Coffee. • Spectate the competitive Hill Climb cars in action. • LUNCH TIME – Leisurely BRISTOL CARS DISPLAY ON TRACK (Exact time TBA) • 1:00PM (TBC) BOCA traditional sausage sizzle lunch (Feel free to bring something else for the BBQ if you prefer) • Spectate the competitive Hill Climb cars in action until 4pm. • Note: You are free to leave any time after lunch. After lunch we will visit a car collection. Dinner on Saturday evening will be held at the Wanera Wine Bar in Angaston. Competition on Sunday4/10/2020 morning will commence from 9.30 a.m. and finish at around 4.00 p.m. with trophies presented soon after. The final dinner will be held at the SA Company Store\, also in Angaston\, on Sunday evening. This year the event will not only feature vintage cars\, but also motor cycles and air cooled cars\, such as Cooper JAP’s etc. There will be a special area available for a display of Vintage and Classic vehicles at the track on Sunday. This event is being hosted by BOCA Member Peter Bell at his Car Craft Workshop in Mt Barker. This event will give SAS BOCA members the opportunity to up their Bristol on the hoist in a fully equipped workshop and attend to or inspect any of those areas needing a little attention\, perhaps your Bristol could take advantage and have an oil change. As an extra at this year’s Technical Day we will have David Neal an expert automotive body repairer on hand to answer questions about any of those scratches or dents your Bristol may have and the types of processes involved for repairing those types of blemishes. David has restored the body and paint work on Ozi Osman’s 402\, Peter Forrester’s 405 and David is currently working on the 401 of Arie Bout. This is an opportunity to learn a little more about the various differences of our Bristol models.
